Judder with 1080ti

Postby brendanhallett » Fri May 12, 2017 5:58 am

Hi, I've just upgrade to a 1080ti from a 1070, and found that at the same graphics setting as I had with the 1070 I'm getting a strange judder on the 1080ti. Its like a single frame just gets displays for slightly longer than it should, and then it goes away for about 30-60 seconds and then happens again. I'm getting 30/90 roughly somethings /89 or /88 but no lower.

I can make it go away by lowering the graphics settings in P3D, but I need to have them set lower than I used to with the 1070. The 1070 always was always super smooth.

Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks, but my issue wasn't low fps, I had really good fps but the judder.
Either way its resolved its self after a few flights and now appears to be running very smooth now. So unsure what the cause was.

Would you recommend this upgrade as being worth it ? I currently run an MSI 1070 card and I am thinking of upgrading to the 1080 Ti, but they are not cheap !

Please let me know your opinions on whether the cost to upgrade is worth the performance gain.

cheers.

I got about 10fps better when I upgrade to the 1080ti from the 1070, and to a i7-7700 from a i5-6800

Don't know if the processor or the graphics card made the biggest difference
