Carenado Aircrafts and Flyinside 1.8

Postby Antonisrho » Sat Jul 01, 2017 9:19 am

Hi folks,

FI 1.8 is way more stable and better in almost every aspect like VAS and FPS, however I noticed a few issues with the Carenado PHENOMS (100 and 300) and the HAWKER where the frames of some gauges flicker between light and the normal cockpit gray. the previous version 1.71 didn't have this issue. Also, I noticed that in some carenado planes like the CJ2 when looking ahead (at the cockpit) there is extreme stuttering which makes the aircraft almost unlyable. Anyone else having these issues and managed to get a solution?

I fly the latest p3d v3 with the rift (ver 1.16.409144), latest NVIDIA drivers 384.76. I tried reverting back to 1.71 to fly the carenado planes without the flickering issue but I get random crashes after a while (and the CJ2 stutters are also present in 1.71).

Thanks in advance

Wish I could help you since I've been flying the Phenom100 last few days without issues. I had some VAS crashes when I had the P3D settings up too high.

It works without any of the symptoms you have on my system. The Phenom100 (with Navigraph extension) does have issues and it will CTD in certain situations but not the symptoms you are having.

Maybe it is an FI setting? I do have the shimmer reduction option turned on and 4xsupersampling.

I'm on FI 1.8 and GTX1080 Win10 creators ed i7700k using P3D v 3.3.5 on video driver 376.33 and an older version of Oculus drivers (don't have the number and I blocked Oculus updates since FI1.8 was released)

Thanks for the response glider1001, I suspect it's an nvidia drivers issue to be honest, but I don't want to roll back to 376.33 as VAS management is much better with the latest ones. I forgot to mention that I am on Windows 10 Anniversary edition and my GPU is a GTX970. I have also patched the phenom to include the F1 GTN750 but I don't believe that this is the issue as I didn;t have the flickering in FGI 1.71. Thanks for the response again!
