Flyinside crashes when flying PMDG 777/737

Postby Posselt86 » Wed Sep 06, 2017 2:34 pm

Hello,

I just finished installing p3d 3.4 and flyinside, after some troubles with my last install.
Tried a default aircraft with no problem, but when i want to fly the PMDG aircrafts, flyinside freezes, and then crashes.
All settings are turned all the way down, and no add-ons beside PMDG products.

My system:
Microsoft Windows 10
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K, 4 x 4.00GHz
RAM G.Skill Trident Z 16GB - 3000 MHz DDR4
2 x (SLI) MSI GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G
Driver Version 385.41

Best regards
Bjarke

PMDG are notorious FPS bugs.....I notice you are using SLI, could you try disabling and see if the problem persists Bjarke ;)

Hello Tony,

Tried turning SLI off, and the problem is still there.
My p3d and PMDG + add-ons worked perfectly until 1-2 weeks ago, and then all the errors starting showing up.
So I have begun from scratch, fresh install, no add-ons (beside pmdg) and every setting set to the minimum.

What's the next step? :)

Hmmm your error message mentions dx11. Can You double check with dxdiag it's 11? What have you downloaded in the last week or 2 ? Any windows updates ? Make sure you try to uninstall flyinside then deleting the flyinside folder after the uninstall which can be found under the appdata/roaming/flyinside tree. Also double double check SLI is disabled ;)

Dxdiag shows diretX 12.
Re-installed flyinside after I deleted the files in the flyinside folder.
I had Nvdia inspetor on this time, and it looked liked the SLI was disabled.- But there was a tiny % activity on card 2. - Still crashed! :(
Yes, actually I got a new update on win 10 a week ago , and i think the problems started after that... Could that really be the reason? - (off course it can, it's windows! :D )

Lol of course :) do me a little test. Go to the flyinside shop and download the previous version. Install that and let me know ;)

Perhaps this is related to the issue I described a while ago?

So, I tried rolling back FI, and actually thought the problem was solved!
Men alas, then I tried an add-on airport and active sky, then it lagged like hell, then crashed! - But the FPS remained good.
Tried with SLI = lagged liked hell... Tried without SLI = lagged worse than hell!
Tried rolling back to a earlier Win10... that solved nothing.

It's really frustrating, one week ago i had pmdg 777, add-on airports, mesh, orbs, weather, with no problem at all.

So, any other good ideas on a fix? :)
