Postby Skyspin » Fri Sep 15, 2017 10:54 am

Dear Sir,
I purchased FLYINSIDE for P3D on August 19, 2017
Up until the last several days it has been operating properly but now P3d detects and error and shuts down just at the finish of loading.

Any suggestions? Of course P3d loads normally without FlyInside being selected.

Hello Everybody,
Found a solution and through the help with a friend I've been able to use P3dv3 with FlyInside
1. Uninstall FlyInside
2. Remove all files in the C>Users>Owner>AppData>Roaming>FlyInside Folder
3. Remove the prepar3D_FlyInside.cfg file in the C> Users > Owner > AppData > Roaming > Lockheed Martin > Prepar3Dv3 Folder
4. Test P3d runs without FlyInside
5. Create a new default flight in P3D
6. Reinstall FlyInside from your download folder
7. Re Activate FlyInside

Hope this helps anyone who may face the same problem. After activation all the settings and bindings will have to be reset. Someone else may be able to add some better tips to
this process but now P3d will load and for the time being FlyInside is working normally.

Sincerely,
Skyspin

I'm having this same issue. Ever since Windows 10 updated for me yesterday FlyInside will not work with PMDG aircraft. The aircraft loads up, but as soon as I move the mouse or press a key the sim shuts down and exits. I've tried the PMDG aircraft without FlyInside and that works fine without any issue. I've tried the above fix with nil result. Any other suggestions?

Thanks
Mark

Mark,
In those steps I listed, concerning the creation of a new default flight, I changed mine to a new aircraft (the Bonanza), and a different airport.
I load the default flight first and let everything stabilize. I then change to the new location...resume back into the simulator.. check stabilization.. then load the aircraft (vehicle) I want to fly in..
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Skyspin

This seems to be a specific issue with Windows Update KB4038788 and possible addons.

There is a (currently) 5 page thread on the LM forums about it found here:
http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=126667

For now I have uninstalled the update file and all is working normally. I have also disabled windows update until MS gets a chance to work with LM to find a fix. I learned how to do that in various post in that thread.

Hope this helps others.

Yeah I've just uninstalled the Windows 10 update and everything is back to normal. I've also discovered how difficult Windows 10 is to navigate when it comes to turning updates off

Cheers guys

Hello Mark,
I have been struggling with this issue to for the last few days as well. I have found some work around to get Flyinside to work again, which I will explain a bit later.
Once thing I found out is you DO NOT NEED to re-install Flyinside, at least for me and my setup. And I did a lot of re-install before I found out it was not necessary to uninstall and re-install Flyinside.
The GUILTY CMPT is the scenery settings inside P3D V3.
But in the mean time, I have a quick question:
How do you uninstall the Windows 10 Update ?
Thanks for your help,
Bertrand
