P3d v4.1 moving seat back

Postby Smx55 » Sun Oct 15, 2017 8:46 pm

How do I reposition my seating? I find I'm sitting to close to the controls and will like to move back. If I push my chair back to where I'm comfortable im sitting to far from my controls to reach them

Hi,
either use your recenter button which you configured in FlyInside or use the move backward key which you can configure in P3D

In P3D I can use the + or - key, but it does nothing in flyinside. I don't see any option in the flyinside to move back

There is no button for moving back in FlyInside but you can recenter your view with it.
For moving back and forth you have to use the keys from P3D

It is one of the advantages of FlyInside over the native P3d VR that you can use all P3d viewpoint commands: up, down, left, right, forward, back - all can be assigned to buttons of your joystick. First, I apply the FlyInside center command which I have assigned to a free joystick button via the Bindings menu. Thereafter, I adjust my seating position as described above.

You can cause the Flyinside pilot position to move forward, back, left or right by physically adjusting your body's position then push the recenter button. In your situation where you wish to be presented as further back, physically move your body forward (yes closer to your controls) then push the recenter button. The system will recenter your position but it will actually be further back than the original position.

Hope this helps.

Danny,

of course, you are right. I just wanted to point out that on top of FlyInside´s center function, you can fine tune your seating position.

Which is what I do. A pinky switch for reset view and my hat switch and another hat for up, down, left, right, backwards and forwards ;)

Tony,

how did you manage to configure the hat switch?

Thanks,

I always use ctrl+space to reset eye point in p3d, then followed by recenter in Flyinside.
