For FSX: Steve's DX10 Fix

Postby ChristianH » Sat Jan 20, 2018 1:05 pm

Hello,

Flyinside is a really great piece of software, thank you for this!

Another nice software for FSX is Steve's DX10 fix (https://stevesfsxanalysis.wordpress.com/features/) which adds realistic lighting/shadowing to the cockpit and makes cockpit feeling much more realistic! See exmple image.

I noticed that the DX10 preview option needs to be disabled in FSX to run Flyinside. I wonder what the reason is for this and if both tools will be able to coexist in the future??

Thanks!

This is something I dont understand... P3D is DX10, so why cant we have the DX10 preview mode in FSX?

This comes about with an incompatibility with a dll that dx10 (fsx) and Flyinside both use. They do not work together and this is totally related to FSX.

Maybe you've already looked into this, but could this be something to be eventually adressed by DLL redirect or side-by-side components?
