HDR or no?

Postby anubhav100 » Fri Dec 16, 2016 1:17 am

Am I supposed to have the HDR turned on or off? When I set my visual effects slider to HDR, the view from my CV1 looks great, but the fps are 60/20. With the HDR off, my fps are a strong 45/90 but the cockpit becomes way too dark. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Yes, without HDR is all too dark... with HDR the FPS are veeeery low and in-playable.

Guys, very good job with this release, but are you working in this problem?

Guys go into the Flyinside menu settings page and switch ASW on and let us know your results. We are still waiting for X-plane devs to improve the FPS their end also :)

Of course, but... with FI ASW off, It's not supposed that ASW of nvidia drivers (CTRL+3) is working anyway?

No I don't think it is mate, go into the UI and see if it's activated already ? I thought it was disabled by default ?

XP11: HDR works for me - I get round about 25-30/90 fps with C172 at KSEA (Textures High, Antialiasing off, Reflections minimum, World Details High); HDR+SSAO result in "strange" right eye only artifacts, performance stays the same.

I had a "freeze" with textures on extreme, but it runs nicely with textures on very high. So maybe turn your settings down completely or at least to default and work your way up until you find the best possible configuration. I recommend to start with "clear sky" weather and a "simple" default plane like the c172.

My screen turned a simple picture with settings (last screen before applying HDR in Xplane 10). It doesnt work with HDR.
In Xplane 11 HDR works like a charm with 30% more FPS than w/o HDR. I get 45 fps on rural areas and 30-40 near airports.
