It is working very smooth for me. I have to say that I am not as demanding as most of the Flight Sim. I just use the stock things and fly. Adjust throttle and mixture, raise gear, Adjust trim, simple things like that.

Might be related to the game frame rate, which in VR, is stuck (locked??) around 30FPS or so. The graphics menu is set to 'unlimited' and putting sliders to low doesn't change anything. If I switch out of VR, then I get 150+ FPS with max settings. With Fly-Inside and the last version of P3D, things were smooth.

Am I missing a setting? Or is there some other tweak (until FI supports v4)?

Same is choppy and the FPS seem to be locked...might be adjusted in a hotfix is my only hope as for right now my rift is useless

I have to say the native VR support for P3D V4 is awful. I have a really high end computer and I note that there is delay in one eye. the other is fine. this makes the VR experience unflyable. The Flyinside setup is much much better in V3.4 and I really hope they roll it out for V4 very soon. I only fly in VR so please make it happen guys!

Yes I'm using the rift. I have no problems at all with v3.4 using flyinside. Just seems that the left eye stutters all the time. Right eye is fine. Nothing to do with performance. Just something odd. I also notice that the vr experience seems a little detached, like the perspective doesn't seem right. I think LM have a lot of work to do to make it work properly. Or perhaps I'm just unlucky Hahha.

It's certainly not just you, sthackrey. Your experience sounds like mine. I also find myself missing all the other controls I didn't realize I relied on so much -- like zoom, enhanced resolution, easy resetting of eyepoint, etc, etc!

Oh, on that last point, while we limp along without FlyInside for the time being, has anyone found a way of resetting the eyepoint in Native VR? It drifts some over time. And every time there's a hitch (or when FSUIPC re-syncs the time or performs an autosave), it resets, and now I find myself gazing out the side window while looking straight ahead, or whatever. The "Ctrl-Spacebar" command from "Options/Controls/Buttons and Keys" (or whatever that last selection is) doesn't do anything in VR. At least, it hasn't for me.

Anyone else found a way to reset the eyepoint?

Have you tried the menu item Add-ons /VR Headset / Recalibrate Origin ?? I have a button on my joystick mapped to it via FSUIPC.

How did you manage to map FSUIPC to that command?

You can do this with or without FSUIPC. In P3d V4, in the main settings > controls > buttons and keys, select category "view", and scroll way down until you see " Recenter HMD display ", and assign your key or button. Notice by default, there is nothing assigned to this function. Super convenient to have a key assigned to this.

Also, I notice in V4 that "+" and "-" now actually work for zooming in and out....whereas that was not the case in 3.4.

But I agree with you guys, the overall implementation is poor, stuttery, and really nowhere near as smooth as FlyInside. But, we wait.....

If only we knew someone who could fix this for us. :)

P3D V4 is sooooo good overall, can't wait for FlyInside to support it. Once that support is there, it'll hold me off until the FlyInside sim or AeroFly FS 2 reach maturity. :)
