Have you tried the menu item Add-ons /VR Headset / Recalibrate Origin ?? I have a button on my joystick mapped to it via FSUIPC.

David

Thanks for that suggestion David. But I didn't have that option in "Add-ons" -- probably a difference between Vive and Rift...

Notice by default, there is nothing assigned to this function. Super convenient to have a key assigned to this.

Also, I notice in V4 that "+" and "-" now actually work for zooming in and out....whereas that was not the case in 3.4.

But I agree with you guys, the overall implementation is poor, stuttery, and really nowhere near as smooth as FlyInside. But, we wait.....

cheers,

Joby! I finally figured that out -- HUGE help!

BUT, I'm not getting any results from the "+" and "-" keys for zooming... Or does that not work in VR??

Focus must be on the main window action. To do this, select "View (set to default - 1x)". Then + and - work.

Just tried it with the rift.. i feel like the view is stuttering.. unusable.. not sure if there is some way to tweak this. Flyinside was much better in p3d.

Update.. using the oculus tray tool.. i set a profile for p3d to 1.5 and asw to off.. its passable for now..

Unsure how to get an accurate fps reading in the goggles though, to gauge performance.

That is a really good tip! Even though Flyinside was still better, I do enjoy the possibility to go in and out of VR on the fly. Thank you!!

I second the question concerning any news. I just had a chance to use FlyInside with P3DV3.4 and my new Oculus. Wow, just Wow! I have P3DV4 and am really looking forward to using FlyInside and my Oculus in it. I know this is not news to those of you who have been using FlyInside and VR for some time, but, for me it is a new and wonderful experience.

Ready to purchase the P3DV4 version of FlyInside immediately.

Regards,

Danny

Hi Danny,

Welcome to the VR Club! I expect Team members will be beavering away unknown to us, and it is the holiday season in the Northern Hemisphere. It's hard to be patient though! ;)

Cheers, Jim
