A rough estimate for a P3Dv4 version

Postby WebMaximus » Mon Jul 03, 2017 5:33 pm

Is there a rough estimate for a P3Dv4 version of FlyInside?

I'm still on P3Dv3.2 but would love a upgrade to version 4 but not without FlyInside support as well as some other add-ons.

I hope it's not too far off I'm the future.

Yeah are we talking weeks...months...?

My HD wasn't big enough for P3d 3 and P3D 4 at the same time so once again I am waiting on FI to release an update so I can use it again.

From Dan today guys =

P.S. Prepar3D v4 support is under development, but quite the undertaking. We're hoping to enter beta-testing by early August, and will keep you updated. Lockheed Martin did a great job creating an easy-upgrade path for SimConnect/Aircraft plugins, but from the perspective of graphics injector add-on like FlyInside, it's a very different simulator.

I am ready to beta test any build as soon as P3dv4 FI is out.

Already testing p3dv4 addons at the moment. Very disappointed in current VR implementation by LM (so many bugs)

Actually I'm starting to play with the thought of ditching P3D in favor of XP11.

Just need to read up on the latest about FI for XP.

For me the thing holding me back was not having decent enough heavy jets and weather for upper winds. With Zibo's 737 and some of the weather engines available now, its never been easier to do the switch I believe.

One of the things that got me across the line on the switch from P3D > XP11 was the fact I could import Satellite imagery from Ortho4xp for tracking visually in light aircraft. Post then I've since been playing with with more heavy metal.

Funny you mention that Zibo 737-800 because I read about it only today and since I do all my flying in the NGX I really need a good alternative for XP and this one might be just that.

What weather engines do you recommend? There's one called enviroXP or something I think?

I also need to read up on that Ortho4XP thing. From what I understand that's what makes the ground in XP almost look real?

Don't spend any money on weather engines!
Ortho4XP makes scenery with detailed height data and orthographic images from different sources.
