Pimax 4k cost less than OR or Vive

Will Flyinside work with this unit? http://www.gearbest.com/pc-headset/pp_4 ... d=10416493 Some review are positive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ivREg4yOmk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0leNzzUlAI4 Appears to be a good unit as per bang for the buck. They are also developing a 8K 220 FOV unit. SDE comparisons https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JqEXBkwZK8

Don't know if you've noticed, the rift is going on special offer at the moment. Selling for $400 or £400. Now that's damned cheap !!! The pimax at the moment is supposed to be only good for watching movies.

I have a Pimax 4k and it works very well with Flyinside in both P3d and X-plane 11.

I have a CV1 but the thought of the extra resolution for >£300 has got me reaching for the credit card. A few reviews have complained about the software. How difficult was it to get to work with FlyinsideXP?

Very easy with the last Piplay driver 1.2.75, no difficulty at all.

Barnstormer, your input would be appreciated. I am considering a Pimax due to cost. A review would be nice. How good does it work with P3d?

I have only an old i5 3350 and a GTX970 so too old and slow for the OCULUS, but the PIMAX helmet work fine for me with P3D v3 with Flyinside and also with P3D v4 stock VR.
But you must have STEAM VR because the PiMAX works like a VIVE. ATTENTION the PIMAX 4k do not have a body movement only head (up down and left right).

Yes as above, primax doesn't have full positional tracking. It is very odd when my Oculus loses positional tracking on occasion, you move forward, back, up or down and the view does'n't. Very off putting and wouldn't recommend for gaming, especially a flight sim...you couldn't lean in for a closer look!

I also have read multiply reports of latency, ghosting when you move around

Think there are 3rd party software for positional tracking i think, but they don't do it particularly well i don't believe. I don't own one or ever tried, so going by what i've read only.
