To summarize for anyone unwilling to watch a 40 min review video:
PROS:
The Samsung stands out for high-resolution ("no screen door effect unless you really look for it" and "feels like a 1080p display") and convenience (no sensors in the room, just plug in HDMI and USB and go)
CONS:
Requires bluetooth for controllers and many desktops lack BT.
Conclusion:
As or almost as good as the vive in terms of build quality, comfort, brightness, colors; its "better than all other current headsets" including oculus, but on par with Vive except in terms of resolution where samsung excels.
For me, I'm still going to wait to see how it performs in P3Dv4.1 as that's my main interest. Particularly in terms of gauge legibility - is this resolution good enough? I feel like 1600p is a sweet spot. Going higher will kill sim performance using today's hardware, but less is clearly not good enough...
