"Prepar3D has stopped working...."

Postby cyborgmudhen » Sun Oct 22, 2017 12:16 pm

Happens all the time now.
Stuff worked great yesterday, but no longer.
I have flyinside 1.81, Razer, an i7-7740x and a 1080ti; new rig.

I am open to ANY and all help and suggestions. I REALLY want this to work, but haven't a clue as to how to proceed.

Yup, knew about that update problem. For that and a variety of other reasons, I downgraded to win 8.1
Sigh....same story.

More details:
I have VRS TackPack and VRS Superbug installed.
When I reinstall Prepar3D and run it clean: it works.
...add VRS TacPack: it works.
..........add VRS Superbug: it works.
................add Flyinside: "PrePar3D exe has stopped working.
Windows can check online for a solution to the problem."

A click on "View Problem Details" reveals:

Beyond isolating the problem to Flyinside, I've got nuthin'.
Running non VR, which is to say without Flyinside installed, it works fine.
Can even use Oculus, just cannot point to anything.

Running Win 8.1, build 9600.
I have flyinside 1.81, an i7-7740x, 16GB of RAM and a 1080ti card. Razer is no longer installed, trying to keep it simple.

Is this during running P3D or when starting/exiting?

I get this all the time when exiting flyinside/P3d v4 - fine the rest of the time though.

Windows 10.

Have you disabled the FLIR and definitely all experimental features ? Not all add-ons will work with FI due to some dll extensions being used that clash with 2 programs.
