P3D is for A2A pre-flight, FI is for flight

I've decided that for me, the best way to pre-flight the A2A GA planes is to start P3D and do the walk around using the shift+8 menu, closing the sim and then starting FlyInside to do the flight. Trying to do pre-flight in VR is really not a lot of fun. I realized that it takes an extra 3-5 minutes max to do it this way but the reward of getting a good pre-flight inspection in on a plane that does wear and break is worth it when compared to the headache of trying to do it in VR using FlyInside. Anyone else do it this way?
