FI Menu system at night

Please excuse me it this has already been answered. Is there a way to make the menu system within flying inside (i.e. if I press the menu button that gives the FPS or even the tool tips) to have a more subdued color (sort of like red-light conditions on a ship). I thought I checked the box in the flying inside menu to enable night mode but perhaps I got it wrong or perhaps this doesn't address this. It can be a little painful to be flying at night and then have the menu scree pop up with the bright white or to press the button to check on performance (fps) and get hit with the same white menu screen. Any help or insight is appreciated. I am used FI for P3Dv4.
