Thanks for your feedback here!
So can anyone else confirm that this is not due to FlyInside?

It does happen with vanilla scenery but to a lesser degree. On a 2D screen the issue isn't present no matter how you pan the view, its only when flyinside is active.

Maybe some kind of mask on the Orbx/REX textures that flyinside isn't drawing properly. With OrbX textures (which is essentially a staple) it looks like there is a 3-4 foot drop off at the sides of any taxi/runways. This is not the case with custom sceneries like FlyTampa's Sydney.

Hey guys! Had that issue in V3 as well as I have it in V4.1 just like you.. For me, its at it worst when trying to land on water bodies... Only mod to my sim would be ORBX global, vector and North America...
The ground shows about 12 inches below the runway and taxi ways and water seems about 2 feet below the float contact point.. it is a if we where flying plane that are 2 feet taller then they are....

I should have confirmed I have ORBX Global Base and Vectors installed as well..... it is noticeable that there is a visual elevation difference between runway and ground using FlyInside but it's not even comparable to when I installed HD runway/taxiway textures (REX4), it appeared to be 15-20 feet difference.

Hello,
Is this fixed in the new version 1.9?

Hi Klaus,

why don't you just try it out? I am no expert in P3D.

Just a thought: since you wrote that you have ORBX Global Vector, did you run the Airport Elevation Corrections? If not, start the FTX Central and go to the Control Panel of Global Vector.

Yes, I did and it didn‘t help.

The issue occurs only in FI not in p3dv4 native VR.

I have a lot of houses floating in the air. P3Dv4.1. Not 100 % sure, but I think I had this problem before Flyinside.
No REX products. ORBX base, LC and Vectors. AS for P3D4.

Same issue here. Trying FI out before I buy but it's doing the same thing that xplane was doing before you just fixed it with 1.94.
