Are you using something like the Ultimate realism pack? Or some kind of shaders? Which plugins do you use?

It is Vanilla P3D v4.1 running Orbx Scenery, Active Sky, Radar Contact 4 (which runs through FSUIPC), Ultimate Traffic Live, a load of add on airports and finally a PDF reader (Foxit) for the charts.

I don't think any of the above would play with shaders.

Any updates to the GFX card driver you made? Or the new Windows update?

Windows 10 unfortunately always updates in the background, and I have been running the same Nvidia driver for a while now. Most of the crashes are whilst flying the MaddogX (which is quite resource heavy) but I'm still getting between 30/90 and 45/90.

Thanks for helping with this by the way!

We try do what we can, thanks for your kind words.
I don't have P3D so it's pretty hard for me to help here but sometimes issues are caused by the environment of the sim and not the sim itself. Especially when it was fine before...

I have a feeling that when P3D v4.1 gets taxed (by more complicated aircraft), FlyInside doesn't seem to cope.

Having said that, I can't bring myself to try without VR and see if P3D would crash in 2D also. Although, all my friends in the Flightsim world seem to imply that P3D v4.1 is quite stable.

Did you try Process Lasso yet? The tool that manages your CPU cores

I did a lot or reading about Process Lasso and Affinity Masks, and the consensus seemed to be that with my 6700 i7 @ 4.6 it would all make little or no difference. I will keep tweeking and see if I can't prevent these CTDs, but there are several other posts on these forums which seem to have similar problems with high power planes.

This is a real pity, as flying the MaddogX or Q400 in VR is such an experience!
