GTN 750 Flight One Integration

Postby BG2518 » Fri Dec 15, 2017 2:14 pm

Title says it all.

Not working via Oculus Touch controllers.

Would love to know how to simply have a mouse to control the VR world? Touch in aircraft don't work for me.

The mouse should be available by default Bob. I use it all over the cockpit including for integrated GTN 750 and the non integrated 750. I am assuming you are running flyinside with oculus rift to start with. The only mouse hide feature that I know of ,is in flyinside menu item BINDINGS. One of the items is SHOW/HIDE mouse cursor. This should be SHOW by default.

Well, thanks for trying to help. I do appreciate "someone" trying.

Flyinside isn't what I'd hoped.

Each and EVERY time I try to use it "something" occurs.

Today (whilst trying your mouse solution) I find I have to re-register the program - WTF?

It crashes - it takes eons to load up.

The MOUSE simple does NOT work.

I've "reached out" both for help and to try to help to NO avail.

I WAS excited about this but now am NOT.

I simply can't recommend this to anyone or the support.

Sorry Tony, but you KNOW how much I've wanted to get help and offer help.

I'm done with this.

Thanks.

Hi,

I have no clue what you and Tony talked about but the mouse integration is something that just works from the very first start?
I do not own P3D this is why I cannot help you like I could any X-Plane guy and I also do not own the Touch controllers. Did you try and start FI without those controllers connected (even without batteries)? Like I said the mouse support is something which works out of the box.

Regarding the re-register thing:
A lot of software tools I use have that from time to time, even X-Plane. This is nothing weird and sometimes is caused by any changes you do to the system. This could even be a driver update or stuff like this.

Still wish you a happy new year

Best regards
Stephan

Stephen,

I wish you are happy new year also and appreciate your help.

I do have touch controllers with my rift which do no interfere with mouse operation apart from (apparently) with FI.

It seems (from what you are suggesting) that IF I have them connected then I can't CHOOSE to use a mouse.

I simply can't test this because P£D via FlyInside simply not longer works (waiting on simulator).

Tony lives "down the road from me" and we simply can't seem to meet up so I can't give back some (what I considered to be) valuable feedback.

The feedback on here and/or beta testing is poorly structured, meets little or no response and, as I've said I'm pretty much done with this now.

Thanks again.

BTW,

Yep, win 10 updates screw all sorts of things up (except MAJOR software packages) and it is VERY likely that may have upset the registration info re-requirement for FI.

Other updates to the Rift interface may also mess up what FI needs to start up properly ???

NVIDIA updates - virus protection updates and the list goes on and on .......

WHO KNOWS WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH FI

FI should is the simple answer.

We ALL seem to be working with a constant moving target and I simply don't have the time for this in 2018.

Right......

I've noticed that my VR menu in P3D itself has dissapeared !!! Go figure ?

I'm assuming this is due to the major win 10 update.

Also, see here https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=127061

I note my NVIDA drivers (which were updated only a few weeks ago) are ready yet again for another update 20th dec. 388.71

So I'm in the process of doing that to see IF the menu item returns and thus also to see IF FI will begin to work again.

I'm sticking to my guns though..... NO more ##ssing about like this in 2018.

VR menu returned.

VR in P3D = fine.

VR using FI still a no go - waiting for simulator.

I DID remove sharders after graphics update BTW

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of FlyInside?

I shall try that but feel aggrieved to "have to try". Will "try" to let folk know.

Was all working fine ISH prior to win 10 update apart for my queries.

I just tried to load up again - 25 MINUTES to get to the scenario with the press any joystick button screen in the headset and NO response after joystick button pressed.

Stuck on 6% - perhaps some graphical settings were reset with the NVIDA update causing this also?

WHO KNOWS? FI?

See what I mean.... something different to contend with EVERY time.

AND I use SSDs - what gives?
