Need help tracking down D3D11Context.cpp Line 117 Error

Postby xendemic » Wed Mar 21, 2018 1:00 pm

Hello!

I recently was able to get my hands on an Oculus Rift and am trying to use the demo to validate that my configuration will work correctly.

However I keep getting a FlyInside Fatal Error Encountered on D3D11Context.cpp Line 117.

I do use PTA but I believe I have restored all the original shaders at this point. I have seen other articles referencing multi-monitors could be a culprit but I have disabled all of my other displays to no avail.

Hardware: GTX970 (I know, time for an upgrade), 16GB RAM, Win10 Pro x64, P3Dv4

Attached is the log file.

Thanks!

How is the rift plugged in ? This needs to be plugged into the gpu directly via hdmi and so does the single monitor. Is this what you mean ?

The rift is plugged in via HDMI directly to the graphics card as are the other monitors.

The other posts had mentioned users with multiple monitors having issues when more than one display was enabled. However, I've tried (and now purchased) FlyInside for X-Plane which seems to work just fine. All-be-it I would like to find a way to make the cockpit displays more readable. The text just seems out of focus unless I take a closer look.

It's about tinkering with settings now to hit that sweet spot for your particular system. Are you using the zoom feature ? Could you post your settings page of XP for us ?

Thanks Tony, since I can get it to work in X-Plane I can tweak the settings there, I can scroll zoom or just lean in. I think it is a product of what I can do smoothly with my current system as far as X-Plane is concerned.

Any ideas from the error output what might be causing me issues with P3D though? I'd love to try it out on that platform as well.

We had that error prior to 1.92 and thought this latest had fixed it. Could be a shader file causing issues somewhere still on your system ?

I'm sure that's possible, I've restored all the original shaders but without any more information I'm not sure how I could track that down.
