Upgrade at your own risk. Many complaints about huge fps drops at the .org forum.

Yes, sadly I saw this info too late and I can confirm....my frame rates went from 30-40 with the last beta running down to 11-12...yes, 11-12...with the current beta, until x-plane finally gave up and rolled over cuz the rates were too low to run... I would strongly suggest backing up before installing the latest...

Hi twells5,

sorry to hear that! But I cannot remember how many times we already said that during all those betas :|
One thing you can try before rolling back: Try to delete your preference-file and let XP create a new one. I read that this solved this fps problem for a bunch of users (it often solved those fps problems in the past, too)

Hello! I updated too, but I don’t have any problems. Might be even more fluent than before. Frames are 45/90 with default Cessna.

Hi Stevil,

Yes, you could be correct...and I hope you are. I have been updating the betas regularly with each new version and have never had an issue until this one. Each one was better than the previous. Fortunately I backed up and can just copy over the previous version and try again, which i will do after messing around with it a bit...I just wanted to make the point that there may be some validity to what you said in your post about others reporting problems this time so they definately should take the time to back up first...especially if they don't normally. That's all...

From the FF A320 beta forum, this was posted

"Try removing your preferences - "X-Plane 11\Output\preferences"

Delete all files in there except "X-Plane Calibration.prf", "X-Plane Joystick Settings.prf", "X-Plane Keys.prf" so you don't have to remap keys and joysticks"

Apparently corrects the poor fps

Yes, that seems to do the trick. My framerates are back up around 30-40 again... The only other thing I notice is that...for lack of better words...after a while my view seems to lose sync or something....Instead of the view staying where it is when I move my head side to side or front to back, the view moves with the movement of my head. Its happened after a while the last couple of flights I've done and I'm not sure why or what brings it on...this could just be a result of my 'messing around' with stuff to get my framerates back and I broke something, and has nothing to do with the latest beta release...but anybody know the cause/solution?

I also updated. No change in performance this time around. I have beta 8 and beta 7 now installed and have identical framerate in both. I’m using settings now which give a minimum of 50/90. I’ve given up on getting ASW to work (lowered settings to the point I had 70/90 and it still didn’t work). I’m hoping Dan might finally acknowledge that it’s not working correctly! Have the moderators heard anything in this regard? It has been reported several times without feedback! Begrudgingly I’m putting up with the horrible judder in positional tracking as a result of being forced to use ATW. It’s a shame Laminar have stepped up performance to the point where 45fps constant is possible only to find spacewarp doesn’t work in flyinisde.
