Running 2 GPU's in the same PC

Postby joe_rowe » Mon Nov 14, 2016 12:29 pm

Hello,

I am currently using Flyinside with CV1 for both P3D and FSX and it is awesome, I am also looking forward to X-Plane in VR.

I upgraded my GPU to the NVidia GTX 1060 6GB which runs 3 x monitors and CV1 all OK.

I have a spare GTX 780 and was wondering if there was any benefit to dedicating the GTX 1060 to VR and one monitor (for gaming), and the GTX 780 for the windows desktop environment with the other 2 monitors. I know 2 different GPU's will work under windows, but would it be worth it as a performance boost in VR (If any)?

I currently get 30-40 / 93 FPS using VR as it is, has anyone tried this?

Thanks for your advice in advance.

Nvidia GTX 1060
Windows 10 64
Rift CV1
Pro Flight Trainer

There is no benefit to doing this as far as I understand matters.
