Prepar3d on the vive

Postby Pontre » Sun May 29, 2016 5:43 am

Hello folks!
You guys that fly on prepar3d with flyinside, how would you say the experience is?
Right now I'm using flyinside with FSX and i enjoy it ALOT! So I started to think that maybe I should invest in prepar3d v3 (the academic license) because from what i understand, prepar3d can take more advantage of the hardware on my PC.
I'm just wondering if some of you think that it would be worth an investment, how much different is Prepar3d v3 compared to FSX in terms of eye-candy and smoothness? Could I run it on full resolution in the vive with some payware aircraft like the PMDG 737NGX or the Aerosoft a320?
My PC specs are:
Intel I7 4820k clocked to 4.3Ghz
32 GB ram corsair vengance DDR3 1866Mhz
EVGA Geforce 980ti

Thank you for your advices, sharing is caring ;)

P3d is amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves flight sims. As for having everything maxed out on the vive then I'd think even with your card it would struggle :) but don't let that deter you. You can tinker with it and find a great balance. As for the fps heavy addons like pmdg, it would struggle but still be very playable.
