I was getting the black flickering in my more complex airplanes or if I turned up autogen, traffic, and such. Tried this and black flickers gone here too! I do get some slight stutter in its place but that's so easier to take than the black flickers.

Thanks for this tip!

Wow, unbelievable. I changed the setting too again and now everything works! It's amazing! It looks like that was the main culprit for me, all I had to do was lower some setting (I had everything maxed) and it's all running smoothly.

Thanks!

Going to have to try this tomorrow. I am excited to hear the good reports so far. I would definitely much rather have occasional stutters than the black flickers.

So I installed FI 1.52 and P3D 3.3. I seem to have no flickering weather or not always-on reprojection is enabled. Unfortunately I get the stutters now that last about 0.5 seconds every 3 seconds or so. The stutters don't seem to improve much even if I keep the P3D settings low. The lowest frame rate I got was about 30/90 but even at 70/90 it was stuttering just the same. It is definitely an improvement over the black flickers, so hopefully it will all be sorted soon.

FYI, if anyone wants to just throw horsepower at the flickers, the 1080 has a bunch to throw. Makes a huge difference for me.

Things now smooth as butter.

I can confirm that enabling always on reprojection under the developer tab in settings has made my flickering disappear!! I have everything on MAX settings with the exception of auto-gen buildings which is "high" and auto-gen vegetation which is set to "very high". It seems to be very playable and I'm using Orbx FTX Global Base and Orbx FTX Global Vector. Also using REX 4 Texture Direct with Soft Clouds and the latest ActiveSky!

The concern I have now is while using AI Aircraft, FlyInside will pause to the main loading screen for a few seconds while the sim is still running, then go back to VR in the sim. It does it so frequently, going back and forth between VR, and the loading screen, that I cannot fly with AI traffic. This happens whether I have the traffic set to 5% or 50% and I'm using MyTraffic Professional 6.1.

I'm extremely excited that my Vive is finally working flicker free with graphics cranked up!! Ive also tried this with the PMDG 737 and it works flawlessly!
