Thank you :)

Running Windows 7, 64 bit.

GTX 980x2 (in none SLI when launching)
36 Gigs of ram
Core i7 920 3.60 ghz

Headset and monitors are all plugged into the same GPU (I think I read that as a suggestion somewhere). I am running with multiple monitors connected to the computer but not in nvidia surround mode.

For the best setting , sli disabled and vive plus single monitor in the same (one) GPU. Give that a try.

Hi, I am not sure if this is applicable to you, but you need to ensure that Ezdok is disabled / uninstalled. I went through something similar when I first tried Flyinside until I uninstalled Ezdok.

No EzDock installed unfortunately.

Running it all on single monitor, SLI disabled.

When I launch the game, Steam gives me the

"Microsoft flight Simulator X: Steam Edition will launch into an environment in your VR HMD as well as on your dekstop".

I click "OK" and see some windows opening/closing rapidly and then nothing.

FSX.exe is not running however the SteamVR window is stuck in "Starting fsx.exe" (Under the ready).

Nothing more happens after this. When I launch it again the same thing happens.

I've tried doing the Reset FSX settings as well as uninstall / reinstalled it.

Hang on a sec ? Are you running this from the Flyinside icon on your desktop? Or starting via vr in steam ? You need to have steam running and minimised then start flyinside.

I'm running Steam VR, and then starting it with via Steam directly or via the Flyinside shortcut. Also tried launching it from within Steam VR to the same result.

OK don't run steam vr but have steam running then just click on the Flyinside icon and start that way. See how that goes ?

The way I start it up, which hopefully works for you, is I start SteamVR first and once it is all initialized and the Lighthouses are up and connected, I start FlyInside/FSX using the FlyInside desktop shortcut. You don't want to start FSX directly I believe. Maybe it works but I think Dan has said you always want to start FSX (or P3D) using the FlyInside shortcut and not directly.

What you might want to try is taking the secondary video card out physically (with all power off and disconnected, precautions for static shock, etc). SLI doesn't work yet for us and that second video card might be confusing things. Also, if you are trying to run any video outputs (like the Vive) on that second video card, that's bad mojo. Everything has to be on the primary video card. If you are trying to run the Vive on the second card (maybe for video outputs or something), I'd try running it off the main/primary card first since that really should work but there are so many configurations, if you are already trying to run on the primary card, maybe there is something else causing problems and that second video card just needs to come out.

Keep us posted. If we can't get you sorted, I'm sure Dan can.

Great news, launching FSX directly (With no Steam VR running at all) works. If Steam VR is running it does the looping but closing all VR down and then launching makes it works. Thanks for the help, I'm off to buy the full version :)
