Make compositor fullscreen

I get a 202 error saying to make the compositor fullscreen when I use other window applications like aivlasoft efb or any other program alongside p3d and FI. This didn't happen before - the firmware for htc vive was updated yesterday or the day before. Can you look into it?

When I take my headset off and look at stuff outside of P3d, I get this error. When I put the headset back on, the screen inside the vive are solid red. On steamvr I get the above mentioned error 202 compositor needs to be fullscreen.
I also notice that my nvidia driver has changed my screen displays during the last driver update yesterday. Earlier only my two benq monitors were available to me for multiple monitor setup. Now the htc vive is showing up as a third monitor, and when I start steamvr and FI my primary display goes black for a second before it goes back to normal.

Can you go to your SteamVR settings and ensure that Direct Mode is turned on? It sounds like something may have shut off Direct Mode

Making steamvr go into direct mode causes black flickers and is not an option.
