FSX Judders

Postby juicebox1155 » Sat Aug 27, 2016 6:01 pm

Hello, im having a problem that I cant solve for the life of me. Whenever I try to use flyinside with my vive, I have the worst judders. It feels like im at 14 fps in game but when I take off my headset and look at my fps counter on fsx, its giving me anywhere between 80 - 150. when I look at the flyinside fps in the headset its atleast above 50. What would be causing this juddering?

Thanks!

You might want to check the initial FlyInside popup menu when in VR. At the bottom of that you should see the FSX and FlyInside fps counters.

If the 80-150 value is showing there in the FSX counter, you might want to try locking the FSX frame rate in the FSX display settings menu to either 45 or 30. 45 is a direct /2 of the Vive target frame rate and 30 is best for things like multiplayer or missions where you are maneuvering near AI traffic.

It sounds like somehow FSX is free running and using up resources the FlyInside might need. Hard to say more without your specs to know about where your performance should fall as Sharkku says. And please check the FlyInside VR popup menu and report the frame rate numbers on that too.

Thanks for the reply. That sounds like it could be a possibility, although the flyinside counter on the flyinside popup window is saying 45 - 80 fps.
