Vive Judder and Low FPS

Recently, I tried it on my Vive, and it seems to judder and be choppy even when lowering graphics settings. I had absolutely no problems running it with DK2.
I'd like to throw 60$ on buying it for FSX and P3D, but I can't find myself doing that until I know the judder can be fixed.
Setup:
980GTX, i7-4770k @4.5GHz, 16GB ram, 500GB Intel SSD, 1000Watt PSU.
