Hi

Just installed FSX:SE, starts fine. I then install Flyinside, then double click the flyinside desktop icon, nothing appears to happen ie not even a visible crash to desktop. Just the circular windows mouse cursor to indicate something is happening then that goes back to a normal cursor within a few seconds.

New to the vive, have ran the vive tutorial you get from steam so i know it's working. I'm familiar to FSX/Flyinside, I ran it with a rift regularly until about a year ago, but not since so wondering if anything has changed?

Also, once flyinside is installed, I can't start FSX from the FSX shortcut either. I have to uninstall Flyinside to be able to start FSX again.

Hi, thx for the link.

I read the topic and followed the fix instructions, however my .ini is nearly empty; it doesn't contain a [graphics] section.
I think this is because FSX with flyinside hasn't even ran once on this pc. As my ini file is nearly empty... i manually added a [Graphics] section and updated my SteamVR to the [beta] version, still with no success.

Euro Truk Simulator & The Lab works ok on it so I know it's not something obvious that i'm not doing etc. I'll be gutted if I can't get it working, it's one of the main reasons I bought vr.

Bit more info:

comp is i7 7700k, gtx 1080, 16GB ram, Windows 10 (all updates), running FSX:SE but have boxed version i can try if its worthwhile?

Going through previous posts i've noticed this suggestion :

"Could you check whether a "log.txt" is being created in C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\FlyInside\"

I'm not getting a log.txt

Based from your event logging it is the same faulty module...

Edit: Did you already update to the newest Windows 10 Anniversary Edition?

Hi, thanks for the help, not sure if i have the anniversary edition.... I know my windows 10 installation is up-to-date.

From the link you kindly posted, as suggested I removed VC 2013 then let Flyinside install it's own version, still no luck.

Can you uninstall Flyinside then find the Flyinside folder under your Appdata/Roaming link and delete the folder of Flyinside there and then run FSX, make sure a situation is saved with a default aircraft in VC view. Then reinstall Flyinside and try again and report back ?

Done, still the same. Have tried a previous Flyinside version, no luck.

Hi mate, are you using any addons that may conflict like EZDOK ?
