Okay but it's still strange: I have threaded optimisation on and it works. Maybe some different setting in the control panel of NVIDIA?

It is apparently effecting a very large amount of people at random. Enough that there are several threads that I was able to find once I figured out that it was the Nvidia drivers causing the issue.
Has not crashed once since disabling threaded op (knock on wood).
