Vive Performance

Hi,
Apologies if I’m repeating a subject that’s already been discussed.
I bought a HTC Vive at Christmas and downloaded the FlyInside P3Dv4 application.
My computer is spec’d as follows; Intel Core i7-6700k, CPU 4GHZ, 16GB RAM, GTX1080 G.Card, Windows 10 64GB.
I’be found the quality to be really poor - lots of flickering, not very clear at all despite playing around with all of the settings both in FlyInside and P3D. I’m wondering whether my expectations are far greater than they should be. I remember trying a set of goggles on FSX at a Flight Sim show in the UK and I don’t recall the quality being so poor. The focal distance is really poor as well.
Has anyone encountered the same problems and if so, how did you optimise your machine/set-up
I’m tempted to download FSX again and see if the quality is any better.
I would really welcome your views.
Many thanks,
Simon
