FlyInside won't work if DX10 preview is active. And EZDOK causes issues as well, as Bruce said. Disable them and try again!

I'll take these out of FSX. It would be good to see FI working properly. Today I'm starting to uninstall a long list of addons to P3D, with a view to starting over with a fresh install, since P3D is what I'm really interested in for the future.

Hi,

Good news at last! I did a clean install of P3Dv3.2. FlyInside connected first time. I'll post again when I find what caused the problem. I've only had a brief flight so I'll probably have a lot of future questions, but a first flight in VR - Wow!

Cheers, Jim

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for your help! Next question: Is there a source of info to help understand all the settings?

Jim if you bear with me, as soon as I get my Rift I'll be doing a full tutorial video on all things flyinside :)

Hi Tony,

I hope your luck is in very soon. When is your delivery slot? Mine came one week before the start of my slot.

I'm a UK 33er and my slot window is 20th June but I have seen other UK 32 and 33ers getting processed emails. I sold my dk2 too early back in January so really can't wait to get back into VR ;)

Hi,
I'm back! :( . I've actually been flying in the Rift and moved on to adding things to find my former nemesis.
Matrox Triplehead, OK. Multi Crew Experience, OK. F1's GTN 750, OK. Aerosoft Twin Otter, OK. I then decided to take care of the Sky, before going on to the scenery.
I installed Rex Texture Direct with Soft Clouds, configured and installed the textures, Rex having made a backup. FlyInside started up P3D and I had a flight. So far, OK.
I started up Active Sky Next for P3D and P3D crashed out! I rebooted just to be safe, and started up FlyInside. P3D's Scenario appeared, I ok'd the default flight, and P3D closed with the message, "Prepar3D.exe has stopped working". Immediately I had Rex restore the textures, but no difference.

I believed that if I copied the contents of each of P3D's five folders to a safe place, then when something went wrong I could recover by copying the previously safe contents back. I did that, but starting P3D with FlyInside had the same result, although starting P3D directly results in a normal flight with my three monitors.

I've attached a log file in the hope there is a fix, without me having to start all over again.

Regards, Jim

Update!

I saw a similar problem in another thread, downloaded 1.51, installed it over my 1.5, and I'm in business again!

Bravo, Dan!

If anyone has read my previous post, can they advise what I should do about Rex+Soft Clouds, and Active Sky?

Cheers, Jim
