Congrats on your customs free purchase! :) Are you using an actual mirror? I couldn't get a good score either without a large mirror.

I'm using a mirror one foot by 2 feet six inches. I assume the blue dot must paint a continuous path of green. I keep losing the dot.

Yeah, that should be a sufficient mirror I think... Do you have a larger one? Could help maybe. Also experiment with different distances to the mirror. I remember I had to try a few times. If all fails, I think you should contact Leap support, you may have a faulty unit... :/

The behaviour of the blue dot was due to a bad connection between the Leap extension cord and the short white cable from the controller itself. I've taped the two usb connectors tightly together and now have 90% (not achieved easily).

Is there anything I need to adjust or set?

I have a GTN 750 and a Pushback Gauge placed in the cockpit where I can easily see them. When I try to use the Leap on them they immediately expand to a very large size, with the icons along the top of their window so big I can hardly see past them. Is there a way to avoid this happening.

These are all Newbie problems!

Cheers, Jim

Ah, great, you're getting close! :) The expanding icon thing is a feature to make them easier to grab. Sounds like you have the slider all the way to the right. Look around in FlyInside settings, I don't remember what it's called, typing from my phone.

Thanks! Next Question: I can flick switches and press buttons, but how do you turn knobs to set altitudes etc.? I haven't been able to "activate" those kind of rotary switches. I've also found it very difficult to use Leap in the FlyInside Menu, having to resort to the mouse.

It's really weird seeing these ghostly hands responding to ones every movement. I can even see my right hand moving across and closing on my real Fighterstick! Is there a "best" setting in the FlyInside menu for Leap Motion hands?

Rotary knobs sometimes activates a slider you can adjust, but it doesn't work in all planes I think. Don't know about any "best settings", just use what works for you.

After posting I did get the slider you mention. I realise now that the Leap does not work with every aircraft. I'll try with each of my most used aircraft to see what works and what does not. I may have to revise my choice of aircraft if I want to use the leap really widely.

Thanks for your help.

You're welcome! And stay tuned, Dan is working on an update to the Leap functionality. It may be that more aircraft will be supported in the future!

Has anyone had a chance to test the leapmotion on the pmdg737 aircraft especially changing the mcp altitude, speed etc?
