Hi Dan,
A must humble apology! I'm not as young a I used to be, although I don't like to admit it, even to myself. Last night I noted the similarity of this problem to my previous experience with P3D.
This morning I woke up thinking that maybe my FSX installation was not as clean as I thought, having downloaded afresh from Steam.
I deleted all FSX folders except the root. FSX-SE rebuilt them. Just to be safe, I installed Flyinside FSX 1.52 once again.
I now have FSX-SE flying in the Rift, and all's well!
Best Regards, Jim
