Low and jumping ATW Frames

Postby Matthias1344 » Thu Jun 09, 2016 11:47 am

Hello together,

i have Fi 1.52 and P3dv3.2 installed.
My rig:

i74790k
GTX 980ti
Oculus CV1
Win 10 x64
SSD for P3d
16gb ram

Without FI at a certain saved situation with PMDG 737 T2g EDDM and clear skies i get around 40-45fps
With FI at 4k resolution and max AA the same constellation i get around 25FPS. So far so good. The Problem i have is ATW is only around 45-50 which causes massive
juddering.
Any way to solve this ?

I get the impression the lower the real FPS are the smoother ATW gets.

Thanks in Advance

Hi Matthias and welcome.

I think you're probably going to have to dial back some settings in P3D to get judder free flying, especially with a PMDG aircraft. You're probably already aware but you need to be aiming for around 90FPS Async to avoid judder.

I'd suggest you start with dropping scenery complexity and autogen settings initially and see how you got from there.

Cheers,

Bruce

Hi Matthias,

I found P3D could stand some experimenting with resolution in both Flyinside and the Sim.
For myself, FSX needed the highest resolutions, while I got quite a lot of headroom by reducing those settings in P3D without noticing any reduction in quality.

Good Luck, Jim
