Just about to buy but...

Postby njaynl » Sat Jun 18, 2016 7:08 am

Some questions to other users:

First off FSX seems to run a lot nicer then P3D on my system so i will choose the first

1. How do you use your mouse in the cockpit? do you bind it to a key? i am using the pmdg 737
2. How do you manage your fmc window? i seem i can't make it any bigger to it's usable

how is your experience with the cv1 and fsx? do you also see some jaggie lines in text and the cockpit?
Can you share your flyinside config?

thx to all :)

I just use the mouse as it is in the cockpit.Pretty mich usable as it is.There is an option to center the mouse pointer in case you lose it.
Yes you will see a little antialiasing problem.you can increase the resolution inside flyinside settings and increase the anti aliasing to ultra. That takes care of a lot of jaggedness. But with the resolution you will still have some rough edges

As pankaj says you can increase resolution but it still isn't quite there yet with the hmd technology and sharpness of resolution. But don't let that put you off, the experience alone with flyinside makes my Rift worth every penny :)

Its worth every penny for me..especially since i fly the pmdg i am not much interested in scenery down there.
The FMS brings the plane close enough to the runway to make an approach..Immersion itself is the factor behind virtual reality.so i you fly airliners you are good.but if you are low and slow and want to enjoy scenery then it will miss your expectation.

What other system specs ? Also do you have everything cranked up settings wise ? The 90 means atw is doing its job but 22 fps in sim seems like you're pushing the sim to the max :)

My advice is to take it all down to the lowest settings then slowly add what you want to see in respect to how you fly in game and then keep adding until you reach your sweet spot where the fps is good and you're happy with what you see out the window :)

I adjusted some setting and now i have around 29/90 .. seems to run ok like this.
i however edit the fsx_flysinsde.cfg file to include some fixes like memhigh and FFB.

i buy a key however ! ... just flown a trip from EHAM to LFPG with a manuel landing on my 737NGX and it went smoother then ever.
the depth really let's you fly better and more calm.

Parking at a gate is also a lot easier..

now to somehow get more FPS still.

does anyone use any special settings in their fsx_flyinside.cfg?
