Can't get off 'Waiting for Simulator' window

I purchased FlyInside hoping for a wonderful experience but, unfortunately, it hasn't happened yet.
After installation into P3Dv3 I ran FlyInside and P3D did start but in the Rift CV1 I am stuck on a 'Waiting for Simulator' window on the left and a 2D simulator screen on the right.

I've tried all the buttons but the only one not greyed out is to allow mirroring.

About every 15 seconds I am transported into a great 3d virtual cockpit but it lasts less than a second before pushing me back to 'Waiting for Simulator'

Any ideas would be most welcome.

Welcome to FlyInside.

Sorry to hear you're having problems. Can you help us all by listing your hardware specs and software versions in your signature?

Are you loading into a default flight? The first thing I would check is that the simulator is staring in the cockpit view, if not you need to cycle views ('S' is the default key)

Can you try loading different flights or airport/aircraft combinations as well?

It's ok now, nothing what-so-ever to do with FlyInside fortunately.

I had the HMD and camera plugged into a powered USB3 hub, big mistake.

I then plugged them into 2 USB3 ports on the front of my PC, not as bad but still a little judder.

Finally the camera went into a front USB3 port and the HMD into the rear of the PC - brilliant, no probs any more.

It seems a single USB3 bus can be overloaded.
