I see this, too. For me, it will happen for the first time a few seconds after loading a flight, at about the same time when I got the AS16 weather update message (until I disabled AS messages, in order to get rid of the popup message window). That's why I assume that, at least for me, the "drop outs" are related to something like AS16 or UT2. I guess I'll try to pay more attention to whether the drop outs happen in a certain interval and whether I can correlate that to the AS16 weather update interval or something like that.

I do have a ridiculous amount of addons, and I'm often flying close to 30fps because eye candy.

I downgraded 2 Driver Versions. I am still having these VR View Drop Out though they are quite less with 368.69 and 368.39.

What Version works with zero drop outs?

I had to turn off shadercache in Nvidia Inspector Prepar3d profile. It helped but View Drop outs do still happen

All, I'm looking into this issue. Believe me, as soon as I figure out a fix I will post an update. Could you confirm the following?

1. Does the issue continue to occur on the latest FlyInside beta?

2. Does the issue continue to occur if you turn off air/ground traffic?
3. Does the issue continue to occur if you turn down auto-gen settings and detail radius?

Dan,

I will try this out in few hours (as soon as the market closes).

Can't wait to help you out on this.

Stay tuned - thanks for the beta links

First Update Report 368.39 Drivers.

My sim settings are pretty much default - just have FTX Orbx Globa/Vector/OpenLC NA, AS16+ASCA, Mytraffic 6a. Right now with your beta - I got like One dropout somehwere in the middle of the flight from KVPS to KATL. It was brief half a second. I was in thick clouds.

The only tweaks in my p3d that I am using right now are

[JOBSCHEDULER]
AffinityMask=340

and CLOUD_SHADOW_TEXTURE_SIZE=256 (Default is 512, I may change it back to 512).

Nvidia Inspector is Overriding Prepar3d MSAA with 4X

So far so good with the newest Beta. I will test further and keep you updated. If you want me to test anything else I do have i7-5820K with 2x980 SLI

I did encounter a problem on approach to KATL with PMDG 777 - it is like FPS dropped to 2/90 - I had to pause sim and then everything worked - very strange. This could Prepa3d v3.3.5 issue or something (I will be testing again after a quick break).

Here are the images of my settings

Dan, would you like bug reports for this beta which are unrelated to the drop outs? I could offer a few.

Bug reports are always welcome. Plus if I said no, the bugs would still exist

So yeah, go ahead! Sounds like this helped with the drop-outs though?

Hey,

Now in VR SLI which is awesome. P3D needs to run in SLI mode for performance. Thank you for VR SLI

If there is a drop out - the sim crashes. Which there was one in my flight the same settings as posted - only difference was VR SLI is active.

I do have nvidia shadercache set to off. I tried with on and got the sim crash in the middle of the flight.

HT is disabled now. Running P3D3.3.5 on all 6 cores only

Update: About to try with Latest Nvidia Drivers now. Will update shortly

I cleaned out my prepar3d.cfg and did a clean reinstall of the beta along with the latest Nvidia 368.81 drivers.

System is going very smooth with pmdg 777 in SLI and with AS16+ASCA but in the middle of the flight there is a drop out and P3D crashes. I will try with single videocard later tomorrow to see but from my previous test the beta doesn't do drop outs (if rarely) but with VR-SLI I am able to run in flyinside's 4K resolution smoothly.
