What Flyinside settings ?

Postby Blake7 » Sat Jul 09, 2016 9:28 am

Hi all,

Had Oculus CV1 for a couple of days now, I totally understand that the resolutions wont be great using P3Dv3.

Is there a manual for the FlyInside plugin explaining the settings ? If there is I've missed it somewhere ?

Also what settings are people using for a better experience, I seem to be getting little stutters when moving around.

My specs are Intel® i7 6700K Skylake OC 4.6GHz, Windows 10® 64bit Pro, 16GB 3000MHz DDR4 RAM, Msi GTX 980Ti 6GB GPU,, 2 x Acer™ 27" HD LED Flat Panel Monitor.

Anyone else with similar specs can point me in the right direction for a smooth reasonable experience ?

Nearly the same specs as me mate apart from that gpu. Whilst it's still a great card today it may struggle with vr fsx and flyinside :( The min specs for vr are quoted as 970 and above.

Disregard. That is a typo on the 680 isn't it lol

Start with all settings on the lowest then work up. p3d is a finicky sim. Fsx-se usually sells on steam for a fiver and is well worth that price. What mobo do you have ? Are you sure nothing is being throttled anywhere ? Is hyperthreading switched on or off ? Try either. A small tutorial video will be done by myself shortly :)

A video would be most helpful.

OK, will slap all the sliders down and work up, thing is does altering the resolution in the sim along with AAA etc make a difference or does it all happen with FlyInside?

I have a ASUS Z170 Deluxe MB

Flyinside runs beside the sim. What you see in the cv1 is the resolution you set for the hmd in the settings. The eye candy you add until you find your sweet spot ;)
