I'm using FSX atm, but I'm not satisfied with the framerate.. I get an average of 20FPS with PMDG 737-800.. I have an overclocked 4770k at 4.5ghz and a 780TI (Getting 1080 next week)..
How is the new P3D compared?

I have both FSX and P3D running on i6700k 4.4 ghz and 1080 GFX card.

I have tested both and compared them one after the other.
While running medium - high settings + ORB X global I am hitting between 60/90 - 100/90 FPS

Hard to set them up identically due to different graphic options, however I have found that despite FSX having a higher FPS at times it still loses out to the overall smoothness and clarity of P3D.

Which sux in my case since I have many more missions and content on FSX as compared to P3D ahaha.

So IMO P3d > FSX when it comes to overall appearance in Flyinside.

Hrm.
I assume you've upped the render resolution in the FlyInside settings for FSX?
Mine compared horribly to P3D till I did that. Since then, they've been fairly similar for me (it was a drastic difference btw).
So much so that I tend to forget which one I've launched sometimes, of course until I see a cockpit shadow.

Guess I'll have to go back and tweak some settings again (it's been a while). I'd love to wring more performance out of either one and it sounds like there might be room.
