Hi all,

Im not too sure if this has been brought up yet, but i have an Oculus Rift CV1 and am playing FSX with it.

The game works great, but i tried to get EZDOC intalled, which it did, but now cant get into the VC to use the rift.

Any ideas?

Oz

Hi and welcome to FlyInside.

EZDOC has known issues with FlyInside, the two products do not work together. I know that Dan, FlyInside's developer is aware of the issue, hopefully he will be able to find a fix.

Thats a shame, hopefully a fix can be found as I love both programs and only being able to use one kills me as I paid money for both.

The problem is, that since both EZDOK and FlyInside are camera addons, the use of one sort of excludes the other. A lot of EZDOK functionality would have to be disabled for simultaneous use with the Rift. Think about it.
Then again, a few functions would still be useful of course.

Any chance that Dan can provide us with some basic camera functionality like ezdok, where we could set up views within flyinside.

I came up with a way to create at least one camera that mimics an ezdok camera. Go to the Aircraft camera menu and select co pilot. This camera will let you place it any where in the aircraft, let's say a back seat passenger or window wing view. Even you can take it outside for an external view any place around the airplane. You may get some clipings since this camera is for cockpit placement though. Just use the default ctrl + shift + enter and so on to move the camera around. This camera looks great in 3d mode and vr. The default spot, outside views looks very bad in FIyinside but the Aircraft cameras looks fantastic in my opinion. Explore around and check this out if you wish. But it is the closest emulation of ezdok, minus head movement or course.
