PMDG 777 with oculus rift fps is 3

Hi to all. Just got my rift and the first thing I did was download the demo of flyinside.
When I load up fsx with the pmdg777 I am getting 3fps which makes it useless!
I have pushed all the sliders to minimum but that changed nothing.
I am using windows10 64bit on a 240ssd graphics is gtx970 my main install of fsx is on a 2tb hdd (I am hoping this is the problem?)
I have tried the default cessna in fsx and it appears fine.
Can you guy's please give me your advise as to what might be causing the low frame rate in the pmdg?

There is currently a bug which involves the combination of loading certain aircraft on computers with certain AV software installed. Sounds like you're running into it!

Could you try loading up a flight with the C172, and then switching aircraft to the PMDG? The HDD shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you for your reply, I will load the c172 and fly awhile and then load the 777. Glad the hdd is not causing it!

I have loaded the default c172 and flew it around for a while, I then loaded the pmdg777 and it was a lot better, in the default c172 I was getting 45fps and the 777 I was getting around 20-22fps
Which means I can look around without any stutter or black edges, I then ran out of demo time.
Going to purchase the full version now.
Do you think I will have load the c172 first every time or is it a bug?

yes always load a default plane first, this happens to me with the PMDG 777 or 737
