I had this in P3D too, with frames as low as 5fps and really bad lag. What solved it was changing the sim's Frame Rate counter to 36, instead of it being at unlimited. Everything has worked fine ever since.

You think i'm lying?
I have updated to the newest driver 373.06 but it's still broken.
Only after 2 minutes I have 10k Application Frames Dropped and 3.2K Compositor Frames Dropped. The graphs are going up and down like crazy. Everything is red.
How can i capture the performance hud (video or screenshot to show it here)?
I installed Prepar3D and Flyinside new. I haven't changed any of the default settings. !EVERY! other game runs perfect! In P3D without Flyinside i have the usual/normal "bad" FPS.

I would so love to be able to confirm that, but I can't. It's still jerky for me. I tested with frame rates locked at 35 and 48 and unlocked (I got 75/90 in the scenario I tested). I would provide video evidence, but the jerkyness is not visible in the mirror window. I don't understand why not.

EDIT: Wrong! To test the static issue, I switched to the highest resolution, so I was comparing two different resolutions. After going back to the 2nd highest resolution, yes, there's definitely an improvement compared to the previous driver (372.90). Before, I experienced a constant judder at this resolution (as I explained, it felt like it was just 10-15 fps), now it's more or less smooth movement interspersed with a bit of jerkyness. For me, it still judders constantly at the highest resolution, though, but I don't have a reference to compare it with (I didn't use the highest resolution for quite a while, because of the static).

I definitely don't think you're lying. I am surprised at the people seeing stuttering on a 1080, I get none on a 1070 at 4k resolution. That said, maybe there is a weird issue with FlyInside+1080... I just got a 1080 in the mail so I will be testing shortly :)

Anyone here getting good performance on a 1080 at 4k?

I went from a standard 980 to a 1080 and only use FSX. I set my in game FPS to 30 and everything maxed. Silky smooth and even better with the new drivers Dan.

Weird thing though, is it a driver thing that causes FI to reset and ask for GPU then activation again ?

It's a bonus having a baby again because I get to stay up waiting for feeding time so lots of spare time to tinker :)

Yeah I've always got good frames with my MSI 1080 GX.. I cap the frames though.. If I don't cap the frames, it stutters like crazy.. I run the sim at 4000 x 3000 pixels.

Related to the 1080 in SLI and also stuttering..

I too have the issue on panning, but it seems limited to when i have the two 1080s in SLI mode.. panning is not smooth.. i cant seem to fix things. Almost given up on SLI at this point.. tried clean drivers, removing /reinstalling flyinside.. nothing fixes it. (I also get all 3 of my lcds flashing on and off when p3d is launched in sli mode, i assume this is just normal and not related).

I'm on the latest nvidia driver.'

For those with pan stuttering.. do you run SLI (980 or 1080 etc)?
