a little help for a newcomer? [SOLVED]

Postby yoevro » Thu Oct 27, 2016 4:31 pm

Hey guys.

I apologize if this has been discussed already, but i was unable to find any information elsewhere on the forums. I've just received my rift, and installed flyinside fsx. When i run the program, fsx seems to start normally (on my monitor), but at no point do i ever get any display in the rift. Thanks in advance!

Welcome!
Are you running FSX from the FSX shortcut, or from the FlyInside shortcut?
Do you have "allow unknown sources" checked in Oculus settings?
CPU: i7-7700K @4.6 GHz, GPU: GTX1080Ti, RAM: 16 GB, OS: Win10 64-bit, HMD: Rift CV1
Software: FSX:SE, FFS, Nvidia driver: 391.35, Oculus runtime: public test channel, FlyInside 1.8013 beta

Tony

I'm running FSX:SE currently.

Specs:
Windows 7 x64bit
2x GTX970 SLI (disabled currently as per instructions)
I7-4790K
16GB DDR3
MSI Z87 gaming series MOBO
500GB SSD, and a 750 GB HDD (fsx is on the HDD)

also, i read something about runtime versions? is this something i should be concerned with?

Thanks, guys.

Steam launches at boot on my setup so it's always running before I do just about anything.
