You can change the default flyinside resolution to 4224x2346 (changing the config file in the flyinside folder) which I found made very little performance impact, but made the details in the distance much, much clearer and less pixelated. That is probably one of the biggest improvement I found in flyinside since resolution has been an issue.

1080 x1200 per eye.
That's how many pixels there are.
No software thrown at the CV1 will increase this number.
Sure you can you use real time filters both gaussian and un sharp if you wish ?
And just like snake oil , it might work for some.
But the max resolution depends on the number of pixels in the hardware.
