Will test this again tonight to see if a regressive bug has been introduced and let you know.

Would it be a big hassle to uninstall those addons from Steam ? I think one of them may be conflicting ? If yes, then I'll try to look into those also.

Hello,

This is a weird bug, but I have a couple of ideas.

1. Do you by any chance have 2x 1080, or just one?
2. Do you have monitors plugged into other GPUs (like integrated) on your computer? If so, could you unplug those, and let me know if it makes a difference?
3. Does changing your MSAA level, either in FlyInside or in FSX make a difference?

Shoot me an e-mail if you want, dan@flyinside-fsx.com - I can be a little slow, but I'll look into this bug with you in more detail :)

Thanks,
Dan

@Tony: I'll uninstall all the addons and test to let you know. I have a few other obligations tonight, it it will be much later but I'll let you know.

@Dan: Regarding your questions:
1. I only have one 1080, but I still have my 970. If you really need me to swap, I can.
2. My monitors (3 x ASUS PA238Q) are plugged into the 1080 with displayport cables. There are no adapters or other videocards involved.
3. I'll try dropping the MSAA level and let you know later tonight as well.

@Tony: I disabled all addons and tried it out. I get the same error.

@Dan: I turned MSAA off in FlyInside and lowered the resolution from the max setting I was using. Same error.

Attached is the screenshot. Same as before. You can see the "Lesson Text" window box up above. I believe that FlyInside is trying to render that window inside the black rectangle. Something pops it out and the program crashes as a result. That's my guess. This action seems to occur in the same way on every dialog box, be it a lesson dialog box, ATC window, etc.

I finally figured this out! Hopefully this information will help anyone else with a similar problem. The issue was possibly that FlyInside did not know which of my 3 LCDs was my primary LCD. The rift window was being mirrored on my secondary display and the popup windows were displaying on my primary display. When I eventually managed to get the rift window to be mirrored on the same display that the popup windows (from the lessons and missions) were being generated on (the primary display), the issue was resolved.

Seems simple, but it was tough to figure out. Make sure that the rift mirror window is displaying on your primary display.
