Weird findings on FI-P3D + CV1

Postby TazX » Sun May 07, 2017 5:59 am

Hi all,

Just wanted to share a few weird findings I just got to with FI P3D on the CV1 and check if anyone has had the same issues as me (or if someone is willing to double check).

I am running latest versions of everything: Oculus SW, runtime, SDK, FlyInside, etc.

Overview of my settings in FI

- Resolution: 3840x2374
- ASW ON
- ATW Mode High Performance
- FXAA OFF
- Shimmering Reduction ON
- FOV Overdraw at 100%

Oculus Settings

- Start Oculus Debug Tool
(a) Set PD to 2.0
(b) Set Visible HUD to Layer
(c) Set ASW to Auto

- Started Oculus Home: I can see the Layer HUD and down at the bottom it shows PD 2.01

- I Keep Debug Tool Open (although I think is not needed now)

Up to here everything seems ok.

FlyInside + P3D

- Started FI

- Once the FI Splash Screen is shown, PD drops to 1.55 (from the 2.01 obtained at Oculus Home)

- Entering the simulator maintains PD to 1.55

- If I start bringing down the FOV Overdraw, I can see the PD increasing within the Layer HUD.

Anyone had this issue before? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

What you turn on in the dubug tool try turning off in Flyinside UI and see if things get better ?

Thanks Tony.

Just to be clear ... I suppose the only conflict between Debug Tool and FI is ASW ??? I will try tonight and let you all know how it goes.

Best!
