Unsupported XP11 Menu in Rift

Postby antigrav » Sun Jun 04, 2017 5:53 pm

I've just upgraded my system so I can run XP11 on the Rift.

Within the Rift, the FlyInside menu tells me it does not yet support XP11's menu.

Any idea when that is coming? Currently, I have to take off the headset every time I need to make a setting change. Not a huge deal, but something I'd rather not have.

In FlyInside you can map a key/joystick button to display XP11 in full screen, IIRC, when you are flying and need to change a setting, just press that and you should be able to switch to see the Sim window. From there, you can use XP11 just like without FI. When you have done just switch back to the cockpit view by pressing the key/joystick button again.

It's not perfect, but better than having to take the headset off. A few XP aircraft developers are starting to allow you to do things like load passengers, fuel and use pushback from within the cockpit view, reducing the need to switch to the sim window.
