Dear All,

On a recent long haul flight >9 hours the cursor went to sleep as predicted. When trying to recover it by agitating the mouse it didn't display. Has anyone had this problem? Multiple clicking didn't seem to get it back.

As you can see, this one has reared its head for me, some time ago, but as I don't really have that much time to fly long haul, i have been able to work around it.

It does appear to be linked to the timer that is used to hold the timings for the log.txt file and the fact that it appears to switch to a negative number somewhere after 6 hours or so, apparently going beyond the capacity of the number variable.

I experienced it using the XP version and don't have the P3D version, but it does look very much like the same issue.

Hopefully, this one will get to the top of the "priority pile" soon, as I have some holidays coming up and a flight from Heathrow to JFK would be good to do.

So what was your resolution, to save your session and restart? Did FI ever get back to you with a solution to this problem? It's becoming a pain as I've run into this on the last two long haul flights I've flow.

My resolution was effectively to avoid doing flights of longer than 6 hours.

I did manage to land the flights that I had experienced the issue on, by using the remote iPad MCDU functionality provided by the FF aircraft in question. It was the FF767 IIRC or was it the 777?
