Hi Tony,

:) Yeah the new i9s look AMAZING! haha

I did use the Affinity Mask tweak last night and was able to get the piper cub stock FPS up to about 47. Now something I have never seen is instead of saying 47/90 it said 47/47 and would jump around a little.

Tonight I am going to give the lasso a try to see if that helps as well.

Are you using the oculus tray tool? Or the ASW checkbox in Flyinside?

Hi Tony,

Not sure what the oculus tray tool is so I do not believe so. I will do a quick google search on it today. I do remember seeing the ASW checkbox within the setting of Flyinside, but not sure if it is on or off at the moment. I will check that tonight. Thanks again for the help!

So, since my last post I have upgraded my motherboard, ram, and processor. I am now running an 8700K overlocked to 4.7 on all 6 cores. I am using my 1070Ti for video. What kind of FPS should I be expecting? I am seeing around 50-60fps. Thought I might be seeing a bit more with the upgrade. I am running the A2A 172 and the Flight One GTN, but I offloaded the GTN to another core using Process Lasso.

Quick update just to help anyone else out there as well.

I have now overclocked my 8700k to 5Ghz. This really helped the FPS compared to my overclock to 4.7Ghz. Now it is looking like my 1070Ti is the bottleneck because it is pegged at 90%+ pretty much all the time. I do notice if I turn off Asynchronous Timewarp I get a higher FPS. I can get up to the 70s and 80s by turning this off. With it on I am only getting about 45-50fps. Any thoughts on this?

Also, I was using process lasso to restrict cores which was causing everything to freeze for about 5 seconds and then everything would come right back to normal. I turned process lasso off and allows P3D to use any core it wanted and that solved the issue.

Hi mate 45 fps with ATW is the norm and should be stable at that number so stick with it :) process lasso seems to be a bit of a pain these days. Disable and test again.

This might be a stupid question, but is there any advantage with enabling ATW compared to leaving it off? One of my biggest concerns is fidelity of the dash so I can see the GTN and instruments since I am using this for IFR training.

ATW is great but if you switch it off you will need to decrease eye candy to get the needed FPS mate. It's all about trial and error :(
