More Aircraft that work with FlyInside

Postby Paul_Blythe » Sun Oct 16, 2016 6:35 am

Hi

Thought it'd be nice to add a few aircraft that I've found to work well with FlyInside [v1.62] & Prepar3D [v3.4]. These aren't on the official list yet...

Captain Sim Boeing 777 Captain 200/300/F - Works well ; looks great ... some fps loss/performance hit.
Carenado DO228-100 HD FSX/P3D - Works well ; looks great ... Zoom is helpful on smaller buttons/switches
Carenado C90 GTX King Air HD - Works well ; looks great ... Zoom is helpful on smaller buttons/switches
Just Flight F-Lite Boeing 747-200/300 HD FSX/P3D - Works well ; Looks pretty good ... FE station is mainly 2D panels.
Just Flight Meteor F.8/FR.9 - Works Well ; Looks great
Just Flight F4U-1 Corsair 'Birdcage' - Works well ; Looks good

Note: I don't use Leap Motion, only mouse & gaze to interact with the aircraft's VC

Hopefully, people can keep flying/testing, and the official list can keep on growing!

Interesting topic - I was going to post a similar one, but asking for recommendations instead. I'll tag on here first unless it's not appropriate.

I'm after something that is not Jet based, so mostly likely GA that has a reasonable speed for getting around the world but more importantly has nice clear and readable instruments. I thought the default Mooney was good (P3D) but the instruments weren't the clearest. Then I tried the F22 Raptor and was blown away by how good that was in comparison. But I'm not really into fighter jets.

I've been bleeding money on this hobby lately so freeware would be nice initially although if a top recommendation happens to be pay-ware then so be it.

Guys my absolute favourite go back to aircraft is the Quality Wings B757. Just plane ( spelt wrong on purpose :) ) awesome. If you like heavy tin then grab it ;) I helped beta test this way back when.

Love the Mooney Bravo with G1000, a lovely little plane for fun flights & sight-seeing. Not really had any issues reading the instrumentation on that one. The included [in P3D] Beechcraft Baron 58 and King Air 350 fly well, but don't have a high texture quality. Their VC's are OK, but far from payware quality... Only just bought the Carenado DO228-100, it's well modelled and the VC is just as good. Great aircraft for Island hopping and short runways. Though, the low cruise speed isn't the best for normal flights.

Not the biggest Jet Fighter fan myself, however, bought Just Flight's Meteor F.8/FR.9... The VC is amazing, everything is 3D modelled. Switches, levers, dials the lot :) It's a proper Steam Punk Jet Fighter :D

The Qualitywings B757 looks v.good, such a shame P3D v3 isn't supported. Looking forward to their B787 collection. Think the next heavy metal I'll be getting is iFly's 747-400 [really want an -8], possibly the BBS A330/A340 [Widebody X-treme Prolouge v0.85] also.

Edit ... looked on Qualitywings site, they're saying the B757 isn't supported on P3D. However, looking on Just Flight's site, they have the QW B757 listeed as P3D v1, v2 & v3... will take a good look at that one :)

Done a few hours flying with Just Flight's Vought F4U-1 Corsair 'Birdcage' within P3D v3.4

Nice aircraft that's quite easy to fly, looks pretty good with 95% of the switches etc work in the VC. Been making use of the zoom to read some of the instruments / switch functions. Everything is fairly straight forward to use, just finding it easy to mistakenly move the oil, inter-cooler or cowl lever when using one of the others. Cockpit is quite tight, I regularly find my view clipping through the canopy as I look about.

Nice Paul, keep them coming. There is an unsupported installer that I got from QW that installs the 757 into p3d (version 2.5 for me) and this works very well ;)
